The Ten Commandments God Gives His Laws To Moses:-----One day the Israelites, whom God called His chosen people, came to a mountain. God told their leader, Moses, to come up to the mountain; He had something important to give him. When Moses started up the mountain, it was covered with a thick cloud. Smoke went up from it. There was loud rolling of thunder and flashes of lightning. A trumpet sounded very, very loud. Then God spoke: |
| I. | I am the Lord thy God. Thou shalt not have strange gods before Me. | |
| II. | Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain. | |
| III. | Remember thou keep holy the Lord's day. | |
| IV. | Honor thy father and thy mother. | |
| V. | Thou shalt not kill. | |
| VI. | Thou shalt not commit adultery. | |
| VII. | Thou shalt not steal. | |
| VIII. | Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor. | |
| IX. | Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife. | |
| X. | Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's goods. |
