Poetry is important.  Fluid songs from the soul, poetry gives an interlude of somewhere else...a place, a time, a moment.

Poets, even from the earliest times, possess ethereal glows of light that are part of their being.  Poets are different from you and I. Their gift is feeling, hearing, seeing, speaking- and yes, even shouting- passions from a soul overwhelmed by desire to share with us the lot of their life. By reading a poem, we may become part of the way a poet feels, hears, and sees...and that in turn may become a part of our being and of our soul.

Poets say things to us in ways ordinary sentences cannot. Poets reach us in ways ordinary events cannot. Poets are God's gift to the human race. Poetry is their gift to you.
