No Illusion was formed when Tanika & Rachel, met International Producer/Songwriter Robert "Esmail" Jazayeri. Robert then introduced the girls to Elaine & later to Isabel whom he had found while auditioning singers for his Production Company R&R Entertainment, Inc. They got together, and then began to record the demo's. Their song 'Moving On' was written by Robert Jazayeri (formerly Rickidy Raw), and Shazney Lewis (All Saints), writers of the Multi-Platinum selling International Hit 'Never Ever', and their song 'No Illusion' was co-written by KC Knight, niece of the infamous Gladys Knight. Other contributers are Kent Wood (Eva Cassidy, Rare Essence/EU), and Charles "The Mixologist" Roane (Madonna, Micheal Jackson, INOJ). No Illusion's eclectic style of R&B & Hip-Hop is a fresh sound to the music scene, and Tanika's Jamaican patois rap gives 'No Illusion' a style of their own.

ELAINE LOPEZ...The Perfectionist

Born in Alexandria Virginia, she was surrounded by music from the beginning. Elaine's earliest memories are of her father playing in his band and the melodic Spanish lullabies her mother used tosing to her. The oldest of four children, her whole family often sings together in Spanish and English. Elaine has performed at her high school on several occasions as well as numerous talent shows. Elaine says, "I live for the feeling I get when I'm on stage. I love to captivate an audience and share their energy." When deciding what her career should be, the decision was obvious...music! Elaine knows there is nothing else in the world that will fulfill her the way music does.
